Perdita (Cockerellia) albipennis Cresson, 1868
Counties: Anoka, Clay, Ramsey, Washington.
Comments: The various subspecies of P. albipennis (P. a. albipennis, P. a. canadensis, and P. a. heliophila) require taxonomic work to determine whether they represent valid taxa. What was formerly P. albipennis pallidipennis is a senior synonym of what was formerly commonly known as P. bequaerti (see below). Adding to the confusion, Minnesota specimens of P. albipenni s key out to P. a. pallidipennis in Mitchell (1960). Perdita albipennis [as P. lacteipennis lacteipennis and P. lacteipennis canadensis] keys out correctly in Timberlake (1954). The subgenus Cockerellia is in need of a broader revision.
