Distribution. BOLIVIA: Beni Department; BRAZIL: State of Acre; PERU: Pasco Department, Cuzco Department, Lima Department, Junín Department, Loreto Department, Madre de Dios Department (Fig. 3).

Remarks. Morphology: The male color pattern of this species is very similar to that of P. graciollii sp. nov., as shown in Figure 4A, but differs by the shape of male cerci and phallic complex (in P. nigroplagiata the phallic complex is similar to that of P. pictifrons (pers. obs.); see Descamps (1970), page 632, Fig. 59). This is the first record of this species for Brazil (Fig. 3) and the first record of a Eumastacidae for Acre State. The examined specimen is more similar to the morphotype occurring in Bolivia, according to information provided in Descamps (1979), that presents two black marks at the level of the sub-antennal transverse sutures (Fig. 4B).
