Type species: Benglebra alami Mahmood & Ahmed, 1969, by original designation.
Diagnosis. External characters as in generic description of Viraktamath & Webb (2019) and Luo et al. (2019).
Remarks. The subgenus can be identified by the following characteristics: crown and pronotum often with red or orange longitudinal stripes; crown extended forward; pronotum width close to width of head including compound eye; R 4+5 and M 1+2 veins confluent near apex of forewings; ventral margin of pygofer near the middle often with a pair of well-developed processes reaching towards the apex or pointing towards each other; apex of style bifid or finger-like; connective V-shaped; aedeagus gradually tapered from base to tip, usually laterally compressed, without projection at tip, gonopore apical on caudal surface.
