REMARKS The superfamily encompasses two families, Dorippidae and Ethusidae (as Ethusinae in 2005 Castro’s revison) in the extant fauna. The family Orithyiidae Dana, 1852 is sometimes regarded as a third potential member (see Relationships between Dorippidae and Orithyiidae, p. 292).
