Taxonomy. Original description: Triplophysa kullmanni Bănărescu, Nalbant & Ladiges 1975: 40, fig. (Ab-e-Nawar spring, source of a Salt Lake, which dries up in the summer, elevation 3100 meters, central Afghanistan; holotype: ZMH H4778).— Afghanistan synonyms: Nemacheilus kullmanni (Bănărescu, Nalbant & Ladiges 1975); Noemacheilus kullmanni (Bănărescu, Nalbant & Ladiges 1975) .—Revisions: Kottelat (2012: 127).— Illustration: Bănărescu et al.
