Rhopalum (Rhopalum sect. Corynopus) nipponicum chosenense Tsuneki 1974: 382. Korea: South Phenan Province, Sa-gam, 30 km north of Pyongyang (now North Korea) (holotype ♂, paratype ♀) .

Only known from type locality.
