Genus Tunepugettia Ng, Komai & Sato, 2017

Tunepugettia Ng, Komai & Sato, 2017: 145 [type species: Pugettia sagamiensis Gordon, 1930, original designation by Ng et al. (2007)].

Remarks. Ng et al. (2017) clarified the identity of Goniopugettia Sakai, 1986, and described a new genus, Tunepugettia, for Pugettia sagamiensis Gordon, 1930 . This genus currently includes the type species Tunepugettia sagamiensis (Gordon, 1930) (Fig. 11 A–C), and tentatively, T. brevirostris (Doflein, 1904) (Ng et al. 2017) . The present study shows that T. brevirostris should be transferred to Crocydocinus n. gen. instead (see remarks for the latter for comparisons). With this transfer, and the description of a new species, Tunepugettia corbariae n. sp. from PNG, there are now two species in this genus.
