Diagnosis. The species is similar to M. malacobyrsa (Meyrick, 1921), but can be differentiated in the male genitalia by the valva without a triangular denticle on the ventral margin, the sacculus with the dorsal lobe blunt apically, the ventral lobe rounded apically. In M. malacobyrsa, the valva has a triangular denticle on the ventral margin, the dorsal lobe of the sacculus is rounded apically, and the ventral lobe is pointed apically (Clarke 1963: 165, Fig. 2).

Description. Forewing length 5.5−7.5 mm.

Female genitalia (Fig. 43). Papillae anales rounded, densely covered with long setae. Apophyses anteriores about half length of apophyses posteriores. Eighth sternal plate concave at middle semicircularly on posterior margin, lined with long setae. Lamella antevaginalis ventrally sub-rectangular, concave at middle on posterior margin, straight on anterior margin, sclerotized laterally; dorsally banded, arched backward. Antrum narrower than ductus bursae. Ductus bursae membranous, gradually widened toward corpus bursae. Corpus bursae oval, spiculate posteriorly; signum sub-triangular, with several teeth, apical tooth largest.

Distribution. China (Fujian, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan, Henan, Hubei, Zhejiang).

Notes. The female of this species is described for the first time.
