DISTRIBUTION: Recorded from mountains of NW Yunnan and N Burma, 3400-4000 m (Allen, 1940; Corbet, 1978c); range limits unresolved.

COMMENTS: Regarded as the only member of the V. clarkei species group by Zagorodnyuk (1990).
