DISTRIBUTION: Primarily in Thar Desert in SE Iran, Pakistan, and NW India.

SYNONYMS: collinus .

COMMENTS: Subgenus Cheliones . The Pakistan population reviewed by Roberts (1977). Hassinger (1973) discussed old records of the species from Afghanistan as probably erroneous.
