TYPE LOCALITY: S Burma (S Tenasserim), Mergui .

DISTRIBUTION: S Burma, N and SE Thailand, Cambodia, N Laos, and S Vietnam.

SYNONYMS: magnus, mullulus.

COMMENTS: B. berdmorei is the only species of Berylmys recorded from a small island (Con Son, S Vietnam) off continental Indochina.
