DISTRIBUTION: WC Sudan (Dieterlen and Nikolaus, 1985).

COMMENTS: Usually either listed as a subspecies of G. macmillani (Allen, 1939; Ellerman, 1941; Setzer, 1956) or included in G. dolichurus (Misonne, 1974), but considered a distinct species by Hutterer and Dieterlen (1984).
