DISTRIBUTION: Recorded from Ghana, Togo, Benin, and W Nigeria (see map in Van der Straeten and Verheyen, 19786).

COMMENTS: A form found living in and around human dwellings. Part of the murine fauna endemic to W Africa (see account of Grammomys buntingi).
