TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, Moluccas, Pulau Seram, Gunung Manusela, 6000 ft .
DISTRIBUTION: Endemic to montane forests of Seram Isl.
COMMENTS: Apparently morphologically related to the S. niobe complex of New Guinea. Originally described as a species of Nesorotnys (Rümmler, 1938).
