Juscelinomys vulpinus (Winge, 1887) . E Museo Lundii, 1 (3):36.

TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, Minas Gerais, Pleistocene cave deposits near Lagoa Santa .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type locality.

COMMENTS: Moojen (1965) provisionally referred Winge's Oxymycterus vulpinus to Juscelinomys . The present existence of J. vulpinus in the region and its status with respect to J. candango invite attention (see Voss and Myers, 1991).
