DISTRIBUTION: SE Puebla, Mexico.

COMMENTS: A distinctive species known only by two specimens, the type and one from Tehuacan, Puebla, Mexico (Hooper, 1947). Provisionally retained with the melanophrys species group (Carleton, 1989).
