TYPE LOCALITY AND HABITAT: of O. lawrencei: Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, England, in moss on trunk of a tree; of L. frondeus: Europe, in litter.

NOTES: (a) specimens reported as Lasioseius (Lasioseius) berlesei (Oudemans) by Westerboer (1963: 264) were re-identified as O. lawrencei by Athias-Henriot (1973a: 22) and Christian & Karg (2006: 124); (b) Koçak & Kemal (2008: 2) proposed Neojordensia (Kandilia) to replace Neojordensia (Evansia), indicating that the species assumed to be the type of the subgenus should accordingly be newly named Neojordensia (Kandilia) asetosa Kandil. However, that species was never placed in Neojordensia (Kandilia); the actual designated type was P. (N.) lawrencei, which had been previously designated the type species of Orthadenella . This was apparently overlooked by Kandil (1979).
