NOTES: (a) Lindquist & Hunter (1965: 18) suspected G. lewisi to be a senior synonym of Garmania bickleyi Bram; (b) Chant (1963: 269), Karg (1985: 192, 1988a: 448) and Farrier & Hennessey (1993: 42) considered P. lewisi and P. garmanis to be conspecific with G. bickleyi . We adopted the interpretation of Halliday et al. (1998: 32), considering the first two species to be conspecific but different from G. bickleyi .
