Lasioseius plumatus Karg, 1980
Lasioseius (Crinidens) plumatus Karg, 1980: 360, bottom of page, Figure 8 (see note below). Lasioseius (Crinidens) plumatus .— Christian & Karg, 2006: 186.
TYPE DEPOSITORY: Ungarischen Naturwissenschaftlichen Museum in Budapest, Hungary.
TYPE LOCALITY AND HABITAT: Venezuela, in soil.
NOTE: Karg (1980: 360) presented two species descriptions headed Lasioseius (Crinidens) plumatus n. sp. The first description, with a holotype from Ecuador, refers to Karg's Figure 7, which is labelled Lasioseius (Crinidens) tuberculatus . The second description headed Lasioseius (Crinidens) plumatus n. sp., with a holotype from Venezuela, refers to Karg's Figure 8. Karg's key on page 357 cites Figure 7 as Lasioseius (Crinidens) tuberculatus and Figure 8 as Lasioseius (Crinidens) plumatus . We conclude that there was an inadvertent printer's error in the first line of page 360, which should read Lasioseius (Crinidens) tuberculatus n. sp. This is consistent with the treatment of these species in Christian & Karg (2006).
