TYPE SPECIES.— Novemcella ecuatoriana Goding 1925: 30 . (Azuay, Ecuador)

REMARKS.—The monotypic genus is unique in the fore wings possess nine apical cells. The remaining characters are very similar to Carineta (Goding 1925) .

DISTRIBUTION.—The genus has been recorded only from Ecuador (Metcalf 1963c).
