Chloropsina Becker, 1911

Genus overview. Belongs to the tribe Chloropsinini (Riccardi &Amorim 2020) . Restricted to the Eastern hemisphere with 15 species occurring in the Oriental region (von Tschirnhaus, unpublished data). Immature stages have been found in Citrus roots and shoots of the grass Paspalum L. (Ismay et al. 2021). However, the feeding habits of most species are unknown. The diagnostic morphological features of Chloropsina include wing with cell bm+dm narrow (Fig. 1A); gena narrow to linear (Figs. 1A, 2A); postpedicel usually oval; tibial organ narrow; male terminalia with band-shaped anal sclerites, surstylus short, with wide base and apex with spines (see Ismay et al. 2021; Riccardi & Amorim 2020).
