Holotype female with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | São Paulo | Juquiá | 400m. | Nov. 40 [November, 1940] | Travassos”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ HOLOTYPE | Ctenolimnophila | neolimnophiloides | C. P. Alexander”.
Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle. Missing parts: flagella, right wing, right legs and left hind leg.
