Ellipteroides (Progonomyia) subsaturatus (Alexander, 1942)

Alexander, 1942: 67–68 (original description); 77, figures 36 (wing) and 37 (male terminalia); (as Gonomyia). Type locality: Brazil, São Paulo, Embu-Guaçu.

Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | São Paulo | S. Cabeceiras | M’Boy Guassu | Campos | XII - 18. 40 [December 18, 1940] | J. D’Amico”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “HOLO- TYPE ♂ | Gonomyia | subsaturata | C. P. Alexander”.

Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle; abdomen with terminalia mounted on a plastic slide pinned with the specimen. Missing parts: flagella, right wing and all legs.
