Dicranomyia (Dicranomyia) extranea (Alexander, 1944)

Alexander, 1944a: 25–27 (original description); 25, figures 2 (wing) and 5 (male terminalia); (as Limonia). Type locality: Brazil, Minas Gerais, Alto Caparaó.

Paratype female with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | M. Gerais | A. Caparao | 2500m. | Nov. 41 [November, 1941] | L. Gomes”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on blue paper: “ PARATYPE | Limonia | extranea | C. P. Alexander”.

Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle. Missing parts: flagella and left middle leg.
