Gonomyia (Gonomyia) gemula Alexander, 1946

Alexander, 1946: 4–5 (original description), 9, figures 4 (wing) and 6 (male terminalia). Type Locality: Brazil, São Paulo, Juquiá.

Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | Juquiá | 300m. | Feb. 22 ‘41 [February 22, 1941] | Travassos”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ HOLOTYPE ♂ | Gonomyia | gemula | C. P. Alexander”.

Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle; part of abdomen with terminalia mounted on a plastic slide pinned with the specimen. Missing parts: flagella, right wing, and most legs except right hind leg.
