Paratype of unknown sex with labels: (1) printed on white paper: “ Brazil - S. Paulo | Boracea 900ms. | 13.IV.1942 | Almeida & Trav. F o [Travassos Filho]”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on blue paper: “ PARATYPE | Epiphragma | nigripleuralis | C. P. Alexander”.
Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle. Missing parts: hind legs, abdomen and terminalia. Additional note: the sex of this specimen is considered as unknown in the original description.
