Alexander, 1945b: 19–22 (original description); 42, figure 9 (male terminalia). Type locality: Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, Teresópolis.
Allotype female with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | Sao Paulo | Juquiá | 300m. | II. 22 – 41 [February 22, 1941] | Travassos”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ALLOTYPE Ψ | Epiphragma | serristyla | C. P. Alexander”.
Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle; abdomen detached, glued on the paper triangle. Missing parts: right flagellum, right wing and all legs.
