Alexander, 1945b: 22–24 (original description); 42, figure 5 (wing). Type locality: Brazil, São Paulo, Ribeirão Pires. Holotype female with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | S. Paulo | Ribeirão | Pires | Barreira | das Camélias | XII - 1941 [December, 1941] | D. Amico”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ HOLOTYPE Ψ | Pseudolimnophila | supplementa | C. P. Alexander”.

Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle. Missing parts: flagella and all legs.
