Holotype male with labels: (1) printed on white paper: “ BRAZIL – S. Paulo | Boracea 900ms. | 13. IV. 1942 | Almeida & Trav. F o [Travassos Filho]”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ HOLOTYPE | Molophilus | lauri | C. P. Alexander”.
Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle; part of abdomen with terminalia mounted on plastic slide pinned with the specimen. Missing parts: antennae, left wing and most legs except left middle leg.
