Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | S. Paulo | Guaruja | 50m. | Jan. 21. 42 [January 21, 1942] | Carrera”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ HOLOTYPE ♂ | Trentepohlia | mesonotalis | C. P. Alexander”.

Preservation: slide mounted specimen. Missing parts: one undetermined wing and all legs.
