Alexander, 1949: 486–448 (original description); 483, figures 17 (wing) and 21 (male terminalia). Type locality: Brazil, São Paulo, São Paulo (Serra da Cantareira).
Paratype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “ Brazil | S. Paulo | Jaraguá |VIII – ‘45 [August, 1945] | J.
Lane”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on blue paper: “ PARATYPE | Teucholabis | biacifera | C. P. Alexander”.
Preservation: mounted at the tip of a pinned paper triangle; terminalia undissected. Missing parts: head, wings and most legs except hind legs.
