Alexander, 1945b: 12–14 (original description); 41, figure 4 (male terminalia). Type locality: Brazil, São Paulo, Salesópolis, Estação Biológica de Boracéia.
Holotype male with labels: (1) printed on white paper: “ Brazil – S. Paulo | Boracea 900ms. | 13. IV. 1942 | Almeida & Trav. F o [Travassos Filho]”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ HOLOTYPE ♂ | Ozodicera | caudifera | C. P. Alexander”.
Preservation: pinned. Missing parts: antennae, right wing and most legs except two undetermined legs glued on a sheet of paper pinned with the specimen.
