San Luis Potosí: Falco mexicanus, San Luis Potosí, 12 Dec. 1946, C. Shaw (Carriker 1956). Types: Holotype female and allotype male of Degeeriella falconoidea deposited in USNM (65409). Note: Specimens of D. rufa were identified by Carriker (1956) as “ Degeeriella falconoidea n. sp. ”.
