Menacanthus distinctus (Kellogg & Chapman, 1899)

Menopon distinctum Kellogg & Chapman, 1899: 126, pl. 8, fig. 7.

Chiapas: Calocitta formosa azurea, Apr. 1943 (Zavaleta 1944) .

Notes: Specimens of M. distinctus were identified by Zavaleta (1944) as “ Menopon distinctum K.” (CNIN- PHT0003). This record is likely the result of a contamination because Menacanthus distinctus is not a regular and natural parasite of any species of the family Corvidae (see Price et al. 2003).
