Harpalus (Ophonus) rotundatus Dejean, 1829: 212 .
The specimen here designated as lectotype is a male bearing the labels: “ rotundatus m. Dalmatia”, “ex-Museo Chaudoir”, “ R. P. Pantel. ” and “ Lectotype of Harpalus (Ophonus) rotundatus Dejean, 1829 desig. by J. Serrano ” .
Designation is based on the first specimens mentioned in the description. Keys to identify this species are found in Fuente (1927), Jeannel (1942), Antoine (1959) and Sciaky (1987).
It has almost the same distribution as O. pumilio (Kataev & Wrase, 2017c) .
