Keilbachia sp. 1

Material studied. 1 male, N. E. Burma (Myanmar), Kambaiti, 7000 ft., 25.5.1934, R. Malaise (in NRMS).

Discussion. This species resembles K. flagria Mohrig, which is known from high altitudes (3600–3800 m) in Nepal (Mohrig 1999). The single specimen is in poor condition: the gonostyli are rotated in the mount so that they are visible in latero-ventral position and the tegmen is folded so that the details are impossible to see. From what can be seen, the gonostylus is very similar to K. flagria: there are five long curved megasetae arising from a common basal body (six described in K. flagria) and there are no additional megasetae. K flagria was described as having the whole length of r-m+bM setose (macrotrichose). In the Burmese species, r-m has one seta close to Rs and bM is non-setose.
