Type locality. Toledo Piza (1982): “Brazil”. Male holotype examined (ESALQ).

(UNALM); 1 ♀, Tulumayo, 23.X.2000 (Maer leg.) (UNALM). JUNÍN: 1 ♂, Chanchamayo, 26.VI.1971 (M. Chui leg.) (UNALM); 1 ♂, San Ramón, 21.V.1984 (G. Arellano leg.) (UNALM). SAN MARTÍN: 1 ♂, Tarapoto, 11.I. 200 (A. Cerna leg.) (UNALM) .

Remarks. After its original description (Toledo Piza, 1 982), this species was again studied by Orofino et al. (2006), who described the female and characterized male genital structures for the first time. Orofino et al. (2006) stated that they examined photos of the single male holotype deposited at the “Museum Nacional at Rio de Janeiro ” (i.e. Museu Nacional/Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro), in Brazil. However, this holotype is not deposited there, but at ESALQ instead, as indicated in the original description. We examined the actual type specimen at ESALQ and found it conspecific with those specimens from Peru herein reported.
