New record: Ecuador.

The specimens examined here (Figs. 32–33) fit well with the concise description of Montina lobata (Stål 1859) . However, a difference in the size of the female, regarded here as intraspecific variation, was noted.

Stål (1859) recorded the length of the male 19 mm and of the female 28 mm. While the male from Ecuador measured 18.5 mm (to tip of abdomen) and 21.0 mm (to tip of hemelytra), the female measured 22.0 and 23.0 mm respectively.
