Genus Montina Amyot & Serville, 1843
The genus Montina Amyot & Serville, 1843 currently includes ten species (Maldonado 1990). Stål (1872) separated Montina lobata Stål, 1859 and M. sinuosa (Lepeletier & Serville, 1825) from other species of Montina based on the connexival margins from third to fifth (actually, segments IV–VI) abdominal segments which are distinctly enlarged as rounded lobes (Fig. 35) (versus with at most prominent posterolateral corners in the other species of the genus). In relation to Ecuador, besides some records of unidentified species of Montina, the only species recorded at this country was Montina fumosa (Stål, 1866) (Froeschner 1981) . Therefore, the two species cited here are new records to Ecuador.
