Diagnosis: Carapace with rostrum overreaching antennular peduncle, without post-orbital and hepatic spines, usually with branchiostegal spine. Anterior margin below eye with an acute lobe. Mandible without palp. Pereopod 1 with dactylus terminating in 4 and propodus in 3 strong interlocking cuspidate setae. Pereopod 2 with carpus subdivided in three articles. Abdominal somites without dorsal carina. Fifth abdominal pleura with posteroventral margin rounded. Telson with 1–3 pairs of dorsolateral cuspidate setae (modified from Chace, 1997).
