Didelphis virginiana are found statewide in Louisiana, with the majority of records occurring in the southern half of the state. Since Lowery (1974), specimen records have been recorded in Allen, East Carroll, and Winn parishes. Additionally, nonvouchered records have been reported in Union and Concordia parishes.
