Peromyscus leucopus are found throughout Louisiana except in the southern coastal parishes. Many of the records reported come from the Mississippi Alluvial Valley . Since Lowery (1974), new specimen records were reported from Allen, Grant, Sabine, Saint James, and Winn parishes.
