Note: D. r. tenuis and D. r. subrubicundus are considered as either subspecies or morphs of D. rubidus . D. r. tenuis is thought to be the parthenogenetic race of D. rubidus rubidus (Csuzdi, Zicsi, 2003), while D. r. subrubicundus has certain morphological differences from the nominative subspecies. These taxa occur in sympatry, and so do not comply to the definition of subspecies (Mayr, 1982). In addition, both our data and the analysis of Csuzdi et al. (2017) demonstrated that there are no genetic differences between these taxa. Thus we do not treat these taxa as subspecies.
