Coriolopsis aspera* (Jungh.) Teng, Chung-kuo Ti Chen-chun, [Fungi of China]:759 (1963)
Remarks: This species is characterized by reddishbrown basidiomes with large pores (3-4 per mm) and forked hairs erecting from the pilear surface, which later disappear leaving a more finely scrupose to warted surface (Trierveiler-Pereira et al. 2009). It can be mistaken for Coriolopsis hostmanii (Berk.) Ryvarden, but it is distinguished by pore size (6–8 per mm in C. hostmannii).
Ecology & Distribution: Growing on deciduous wood. Pantropical distribution (Trierveiler-Pereira et al. 2009). In Brazil it is recorded for the states of Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo (Flora do Brasil 2020). First record for the Cerrado region.
