Pleuroxonotus nasutus Reuter, 1903

Distribution in Iran. Ardabil (Linnavuori 2007), Khorasan (Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999; Linnavuori 2007), Iran (no locality cited) (Aukema et al. 2013).

General distribution. Iran, Turkmenistan.

Comments. Wagner (1957) included “ Pleuroxonotus nov. spec. ” from Sistan & Baluchestan. This species was apparently never described. However, since Wagner’s work, Pleuroxonotus nasutus and Pronototropis punctipennis —two closely related taxa badly defined by Wagner (Linnavuori 1988)—were mentioned from Iran.
