Anyphaena zuyelenae sp. nov.

Type material. male holotype from Delegación Miguel Hidalgo (19°24′09″N, 99°12′20″W, 2265m), Distrito Federal, Mexico, 23.IV.2003, Olguín leg. (CNAN-T0241). Paratypes: one female, Delegación Azcapotzalco (19°27’57”N, 99°08’43”W, 2240m), Distrito Federal, Mexico, V.2005, Castelo leg. (CNAN-T0242); one male and one female, Distrito Federal, Mexico, 1.XI. 2000, Durán-Barrón leg. (IBSP 91252, 91253).
Etymology. The species name is a patronimic composed from an anagram of Zuri Ayelen Durán Gómez, and is dedicated to the second niece of the senior author.
Diagnosis. Anyphaena zuyelenae sp. nov. resembles A. gertschi Platnick by the groups of rounded knobs in the leg coxae of males and the C-shaped internal copulatory ducts in the female genitalia (see Platnick 1974, fig. 72) but differ by the acuminate apex of the tegular projection and by the voluminous retrolateral apophysis in the male palp (Figs. 12‒13, 16); females can be recognized by the epigynum with an anterior, narrow transversal atrium (Figs. 15, 17‒18).
Description. Male (IBSP 91253): Carapace pale yellow, with small dark area around eyes, thoracic groove redish. Legs orange brown with small dark spots on tarsus. Abdomen distally white with postero-lateral dark areas, dorsally yellow with pale orange median V-shaped area (Fig. 3), ventrally light. Total length 6.2. Carapace 2.8 long, 2.3 wide. Clypeus 0.10. Eye diameters and interdistances: AME 0.16, ALE 0.16, PME 0.16, PLE 0.16; AME‒AME 0.06, AME‒ALE 0.04, PME‒PME 0.14, PME‒PLE 0,0 8, AME‒PLE 0,0 8. Chelicerae with 2 promarginal teeth and 7 retromarginal denticles. Femur measurements: I 2.4; II 2.3; III 2.1; IV 2.7. Leg spination: I—tibia I v2-2 -0, p1-1-1, r0-1- 1, metatarsus v2-2 -0, p1-0-1, r1-0-1; II—tibia v2-2 -0, p0-1-0, r1-1-1, metatarsus v2-2 -0, p1-0-1, r1-0-1; III—tibia v1 p- 1p-2, p1-1-0, r1-1-0, metatarsus v2-2 -2; p1-1-1, r1-1-1; IV—tibia v2-2 -2, p1-1-1, r-1-1-1, metatarsus v2-2 -2, p1-1-1, r1- 1-1. Coxae I‒IV ventrally with group of strong knobs (Fig. 14). Palp with retrolateral tibial apophysis presenting a unesclerotized area in retrolateral view (Fig. 13), embolus filiform, covered by the tegular apophysis; median apophysis with short tip (Figs 12, 16).
Female (IBSP 91252). Coloration as in male, except abdomen darker (Fig. 4). Total length 6.8. Carapace 2.9 long, 2.1 wide. Clypeus 0.06 high. Eye diameters and interdistances: AME 0.16, ALE 0.16, PME 0.18, PLE 0.20; AME‒AME 0.06, AME‒ALE 0.04, PME‒PME 0.14, PME‒PLE 0.10, ALE‒PLE 0.06. Chelicerae with 3 promarginal teeth and 8 retromarginal denticles. Femora lengths: I 2.4; II 2.4; III 2.1; IV 2.8. Spination differs from male on leg I—tibia p0-1-0, r0-1-0, metatarsus p0-1-0, r0-1-1; II—tibia p1-1-0, r0-1-0; III—metatarsus p1-1-0, r1-1-0; IV—tibia p1-1-0, r1-1-0. Epyginum internaly with oval spermathecae and long, coiled ducts (Figs 15, 17, 18).
Variation. Males (n=5): total length 6.2‒7; carapace length 2.8‒3.5; femur I length 2.4‒2.9. Females (n=4): total length 6.8‒7.5; carapace length 2.9‒3.5; femur I length 2.4‒3.1.

Natural history. specimens were relatively common inside houses, the exterior walls of buildings and in gardens, mainly during the months of March, April and November.
Distribution. Known only from Mexico City.
