Type species. Conganteon vulcanicum Benoit 1951, by original designation.
Diagnosis. ♀: fully winged (Figs 21A, B); occipital carina complete; mandible quadridentate, including one intermediate rudimentary tooth (Fig. 8B); antenna without ADOs; palpal formula 5/3 or 6/3; pronotal tubercle present; forewing with two cells enclosed by pigmented veins (C and R) (Figs 21A, B); forewing with 2r-rs&Rs vein and pterostigma (Figs 21A, B); distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein longer than proximal part (Figs 21A, B); protarsus chelate (Figs 21A, B); chela with rudimentary claw (Fig. 26A); tibial spurs 1/1/2. ♂: fully winged (Fig. 21C); occipital ca- rina complete; mandible quadridentate, including one intermediate rudimentary tooth (Fig. 8B); palpal formula 5/3 or 6/3; forewing with two cells enclosed by pigmented veins (C and R) (Fig. 21C); forewing with 2r-rs&Rs vein and pterostigma (Fig. 21C); distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein longer than proximal part (Fig.21C); tibial spurs 1/1/2.
Distribution. Afrotropical and Oriental regions. Present at Oriental border of the Palaearctic (Nepal).
