Description. ♂. Fully winged; body length 2.5–2.8 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous (with teeth brown) and clypeus partly brown (occasionally totally black); antenna of holotype brown, except antennomeres 1–3 testaceous; mesosoma and metasoma black; legs of holotype testaceous, except coxae black and clubs of femora partly brown. Antenna filiform; antennomeres in following proportions: 6.5:4.5:9:8:8:8:7.5:7.5:7:9. Head shiny, strongly punctate, unsculptured among punctures; frontal line absent; frons with short and narrow median furrow in front of anterior ocellus; occipital carina complete; POL = 5; OL = 2.5; OOL = 7; OPL = 5; TL = 8. Mesoscutum shiny, punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Notauli incomplete, reaching about 0.3 × length of mesoscutum. Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Metapectal-propodeal disc without transverse posterior keel, reticulate rugose; propodeal declivity partly granulate and reticulate rugose, without longitudinal keels. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands or spots; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein much shorter than proximal part (3:6). Paramere (Fig. 51E) approximately as long as penis, without distal inner process. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Material examined. Types: ♂ holotype: CAPE VERDE ISLANDS: Fogo Island, São Jorge dos Orgãos (AMNH). Paratypes: same locality label as holotype, 12–13.IX.1987, A. van Harten leg. , 2♂♂ (AMNH); same locality label as holotype, IX.1988, suction trap, 1♂ (AMNH) .
