22. Bocchus nigroflavus Olmi, Copeland & van Noort, sp. nov.

Diagnosis. Macropterous ♀ of Bocchus with head mostly yellow-testaceous and completely granulate (Fig. 112C); OPL about twice as long as OOL; mesoscutum granulate; forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands or spots; enlarged claw with long row of teeth (Fig. 110D).

Description. ♀ (Figs 111, 112C). Fully winged; body length 2.3 mm. Head yellow-testaceous, except black margins of ocelli; antenna whitish; mesosoma black; petiole yellow; metasoma brown; legs yellow-testaceous. Antenna clavate, short, with antennomeres 5–9 longer than broad; antennomeres in following proportions: 9:4:6:4:4:4:4:3:3:5. Head (Fig. 111C) convex, dull, completely granulate, not rugose; frontal line complete; occipital carina complete; POL = 3; OL = 4; OOL = 3; OPL = 6; TL = 6; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli shorter than OL (2:4). Pronotum crossed by strong transverse impression, dull, granulate; pronotal tubercle reaching tegula. Mesoscutum (Fig. 111A) dull, completely granulate. Notauli complete, posteriorly separated; minimum distance between notauli much longer than breadth of lateral ocelli (7:2). Mesoscutellum slightly swollen, shiny, slightly granulate. Metanotum shiny, unsculptured. Mesopleuron dull, granulate. Metapleuron dull, sculptured by numerous strong transverse keels. Metapectal-propodeal disc with strong transverse posterior keel, dull, rugose, with few very large areolae (inner surface of areolae slightly rugose); propodeal declivity dull, with two complete longitudinal keels, median area transversely striate and lateral areas reticulate rugose. Forewing (Fig. 111D) hyaline, without dark transverse bands or spots; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein shorter than proximal part (5:8); 2R1 cell open. Petiole long, much shorter than metasoma (13:41). Protarsomeres in following proportions: 10:3:3:8:11. Enlarged claw (Fig. 110D) with one row of 5 teeth and 1 bristle. Protarsomere 5 (Fig. 110D) with one preapical lamella, 3 bristles and medial prominence. Tibial spurs 1, 1, 2 (one of the two spurs of the hind tibiae is shorter).

Material examined. Type: ♀ holotype (CASTYPE19450): MADAGASCAR: Antsiranana, Orangea, 3 km E of Ramena near fort, 12°14.49’S 49°22.17’E, 65 m, 23–27.I.2001, MT, littoral forest on sand, MA- 01-05-02, M.E. Irwin, E.I. Schlinger & R. Harin’Hala leg. (CAS) .

Distribution. Madagascar.

Etymology. The new species is named nigroflavus, a Latin adjective meaning partly black and partly yellow- testaceous (head mostly yellow-testaceous; mesosoma black).
