Gonatopus acuminatus (Olmi): Guglielmino & Olmi 2014a: 38; Olmi et al. 2015: 364. Description. ♀ (Figs 177C, 178A). Apterous; body length 3.1–3.7 mm. Holotype with head brown-reddish, except mandible, clypeus and anterior region of frons yellow; antenna yellow, except antennomeres 8–10 brown; mesosoma brown-reddish, except distal extremity of propodeal declivity yellow; petiole black; metasoma brown-reddish; legs brown-reddish, except tarsi yellow. Specimen from Kenya, 04°23.456’S 39°41.687’E, completely testaceous, except vertex of head darkened, metasoma partly brown and club of profemur darkened. Specimen from South Africa, 33°34.092’S 18°47.680’E, with head brown, except mandible testaceous; antenna, mesosoma and metasoma brown; legs mostly brown. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 8:6:20:11:9:7.5:5.5:6:5:9. Head excavated, dull, granulate; POL = 1; OL = 2; OOL = 9. Palpal formula 5/3. Pronotum shiny, with short irregular keels, crossed by strong transverse impression. Mesoscutum sculptured by longitudinal keels. Mesoscutellum shiny and smooth. Metanotum little excavated behind mesoscutellum (Fig. 180A), with sides protruding; lateral protrusions pointed. Metapectal-propodeal disc shiny, as sculptured as pronotum with strong median longitudinal furrow; propodeal declivity transversely striate. Holotype with mesopleuron and metapleuron not transversely striate; in specimen from Kenya, 04°23.456’S 39°41.687’E, mesopleuron and metapleuron transversely striate. Mesometapleural suture distinct and complete. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 9:2:4:10:16. Enlarged claw (Fig. 179A) with one large subdistal tooth and one row of five-seven lamellae. Protarsomere 5 (Fig. 179A) with two rows of approximately 10–17 lamellae; apex with approximately 16–20 lamellae. In specimens from Kenya, 04°23.456’S 39°41.687’E and 1.2233°S 36.8967°E, protarsomere 5 with medial lamellae situated in distal half of protarsomere (two rows of 2+7 lamellae in specimen from Kenya, 1.2233°S 36.8967°E). Tibial spurs 1/0/1.
